From my perspective, it depends on what you're using Linux for, WSL (as far as I'm aware) doesn't support a GUI (possibly it does with local server hosting - although it's not something I've tried), and doesn't have GPU support, which is pretty important for any ML stuff

WSL is great for the linux terminal, but sometimes a fully fledged GUI can be pretty useful :)
